In the tradition of the Buddha, Gandhi, Einstein and other great thinkers this elegant and simple method allows us to actually examine fundamental questions of WHY? in ourselves, but with simple, direct instructions on HOW. We no longer have to feel trapped in the rat race. Pausing lets us see through the foolish travails of daily life and access the peace inherent in existence. This has been invaluable to me.

People more and more are starting to wake up to the ideology of being present in the moment. In my day to day life however, I still see people struggling with the concepts of this way of life and I always say the same thing: read “The Practical Guide for Living in the Present Moment”. The fantastic thing is, is that I can use myself as an example as I am often asked how I can stay so calm and be humorous in highly pressured situations. I have been fortunate enough to have lived with these concepts for years, and the second book I know, can only make me grow into an even better and more capable being. I’m swishing my tail in anticipation!

Using the tools of the day to uncover the tools from within!

  4. Dear Audrey,

I just browsed thorough your Chapter 4 of your new book. I loved the cover!
The simplicity in which it is written is so inviting, that even when I was really tired, i took the time to go through it. You explain the concepts of pausing, breathing and feeling the weight so well!

The examples you give are of everyday life and that is precisely what we want to convey. We can use Mentastics everyday , everywhere!

Thank you for creating such a valuable tool for us, our clients and anyone interested in world peace.

    Bravo!

    Love and admiration,
    Adela
PS You look terrific in the picture, so filled with life!

No mention of inilvibse thread here I’d go with that over any colour, you’ll never match it up right. Plus you don’t have to iron the seams to a certain side, things sit flatter and more evenly if you iron all seams open. She didn’t mention that you need to TURN OFF the feeding mechanism on the machine, which most machines will have but some don’t it’s just disengaging the teeth under the presser foot that guide the fabric? through. Because you’re quilting freehand, you don’t need it.
